Another year, another great way to introduce the sport you love! Back for 2015, Minturn Anglers is offering their Fly Fishing School at both locations (Minturn and Parker) once more. Classes will be every weekend starting April 11th and 12th and run through November.

We’ve created this class for the fast learner in your life who’s looking for professional assistance. Same awesome instruction, same awesome fishing, one less day! At $78, you cannot possibly go wrong!
Minturn Anglers 2 Day Fly Fishing School is two days of education (Sat & Sun) for only $111 (originally $325). One day of class, and one day of on-stream education/guided fishing will have you or the one you’ve gifted this treat to able to go out and fish on your/their own immediately after the class. Waders, boots, rod and reel are provided. Please share with those who’ve been buggin’ ya to take them fishing! Deckers
Looks like the public is now allowed back at Deckers! The roads are open and the fish haven’t seen flies in a few weeks. That’s the upside… The downside is that it’s still rippin’ at 1,500 CFS. We are back to where we started so no need to dust off the PMDs yet. Bright worms and big stoneflies are still on the menu as well as streamers ran close to the banks. Please be safe when ya head down there!
Arkansas River
The Arkansas River continues to rage. With so much good stillwater and the mountains being back in business, we’d rather drive to the mountains than take a gamble headed down to Colorado Springs. Let this bad boy rest for a minute and enjoy what else there is to offer! Stillwater Whether it’s trout you are after, wiper, bass or blue gill; the local lakes and ponds are the place to be right now. The Damselfly bite is heating up and streamers have consistently caught every species this week. Whether you are keeping it local like the Pinery or Salibury Ponds or you are headed out for a little cruise like Aurora or Chatfield, bring an arsenal of flies and tips or lines you can fish at different sink rates depending on the bugs and the time of day you are fishing!
