Flow: 44 CFS
Water Temp: 52 Degrees
Clarity: Gin Clear

The flows at Bear Creek are continuing to improve. The fish are more relaxed this week compared to last week. The clarity of the creek is perfect. Caddis have started to hatch and the fish are bonkers for them. A size 16 yellow stimulator is drawing them up from the deep. Lair the Bear and Corwina Park is where you want to be. Fish the soft water, there is a lot of plung pools and fast runs right now, but the fish are holding in the softer areas.

A dry dropper is the most effective way to cover the creek. Stimulator up top with a Guide’s Choice Hare’s Ear below. Expect to see some people out there this weekend, either fish early or late. You will see a good caddis hatch later into the evening. Cover some water as well. I would make a dozen casts into a run and then move up river. A shorter rod is also a must, 8 feet or shorter. I was using my 6 foot 2 weight and having a blast with small browns.
