Born in Pennsylvania I have lived in Colorado for over 30 years and been fly fishing for 22. Fishing with my grandfather once I could walk, my fly fishing career began with an attempt at building my own fly rod in middle school, and fishing flies with a weighted bobber. The early 90’s brought “A River Runs Through It” to theatres and I was “hooked”. Skipping college classes to fly fish the western U.S. with close friends became an obsession as well as tying flies, painting, and photographing all things fly fishing. Now I share that passion with my wife, three children, and longtime friends from school.

Guiding

Giving back to fly fishing is important to those of us who love it. Teaching and guiding people to cast, hook and land fish is hugely rewarding, as well as meeting all the great people who walk thru Colorado Skies’ doors. We need more people to fall in love with fly fishing and help preserve our lakes and rivers for the future.

Water

With drift boat in tow, fishing from Montana to New Mexico, big river to high country streams there is a vast amount of water to fish. My personnal home water is the South Platte river, but have fished extensively on the Green river, Madison, Snake, Bighorn, North Platte and in the Yellowstone area. Close to home its Dream Stream, Cheeseman Canyon, Poudre, and Arkansas rivers as well as Antero and Spinney reservoirs.
