Miles of Private Water Near The Eagle River!

As a way to introduce the Denver Fly Fishing Community to the Eagle River we are running an incredible Promotion Through the End of February!

How It Works: You Pay The Rod Fee $200/person & We Throw in the Guided Trip Free!

The Rod Fee for the Rolling J Ranch is $125/person.  We need a minimum of two anglers and we will get you on the water with a guide for 4 hours at no additional charge!  We Can put up two three anglers with one guide for a grand total of $250.  That’s $83/person! During peak season this would normally run $625

How Good is the Fishing in the Winter?

Eagle River winter fly fishing

The winter fishing on the Eagle is pretty phenomenal.  Our private water is virtually unfished this time of year and the fish are piled up.  Check out the video at the top of the page and it should answer some questions for you!

How to Book Your Trip

This offer is good until February 28th 2014.   Call either of our stores to schedule your trip if you have some dates in mind.  If you don’t know a date, we can give you a gift certificate for the trip.  We want the fishing to be good, so in the event the Eagle get iced up, we can reschedule.

What’s Included: On this trip we are happy to provide rods/reels waders & boots.

What Not Included: A gratuity for you guide, flies, leader, tippet.  I’d venture to say most of you have the flies you will need for this trip. If you’re missing a fly, our guides will always tie one on for you, but just come slightly prepared.  Just to be sure here is what you will need.

  • Leader: 9′ 4x
  • Tippet: 4x-6x flourocarbon tippet
  • Indicators: Yarn indicators. The New Zealand indicator system is what we prefer
  • Split Shot: Dinsmore #1-4
  • Flies: #20-22 Black Sparkle Wing Rs2, #20 Jujubeatis, #18-20 Mercury Black Beauties, #18-20 Soft Hackle Pheasant Tails,  6mm troutbeads, Pinks Flashtail San Juan Worms.
