How To Tie an Improved Clinch Knot
In this video Alvin DeDeaux demonstrates how to tie an Improved Clinch Knot. The improved Clinch knot adds one step to the standard clinch knot and improves the overall knot strength. Once threaded through the hook eye, make five-seven twists and pull the tag-end through the opening that forms in front of the hook eye and then pass the tag end through the loop that forms above the five turns.
Quick Tip: Remember to moisten the knot before cinching down the knot.
