Eagle River
For best results, head to Lions Head but be prepared for skier traffic. The banks are lined with snow so please be careful but if you’re willing to give it a go, tie on a selection of midges and have fun because the fishing is good.
The Lower Colorado River has been fishing surprisingly well with rising fish through the afternoons. The typical midge bite is on and rising fish can be found in tailouts and back eddies. Give it a whirl!

Deckers
Deckers is up to 120CFS and fishing quite well. Our tame Fall season has been favorable for the fishermen but even the worst days weather-wise still produces fish and guarantees less fishermen. Be careful on the roads as the snow increases but get your butt down to Deckers to fish! Midges are the meal and dry fly opportunities are abound. Different variations of black and grey midges in all stages of life are producing the most fish. It never hurts to have a bead or egg in the mix as well. Dream Stream
Flows have been whacky, weather has been unbearable. The Dream Stream is not for the faint of heart right now but for those willing to brave the weather and low flows, you could be rewarded with a bruiser on the other hand… you might not. Friendly reminder, PLEASE STAY OFF THE SPAWNING BEDS!!! Creeks
The phenomenal weather this week has thinned most of the ice off of our favorite small creeks, even in the canyon stretches. Get it while the getting’s good because these guys will be going kaputz in the next week or two. Small Adams dries and midges below will bring em up every time.
